Job Summary:
We are seeking a Procurement Engineer with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience in procurement for industrial and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Experience in water projects will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
- Prepare and process purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders, and related procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure materials and equipment meet project specifications and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and material availability.
- Ensure compliance with UAE import regulations, customs procedures, and relevant documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Follow up on shipments, customs clearance, and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Support cost optimization and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in water-related projects is an added advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of UAE import regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation.
- Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet project deadlines.
