Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and discreet Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private residence. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of the household, manage staff, coordinate maintenance, and provide exceptional service to the employer and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Household Operations
    • Oversee the day-to-day running of the household and ensure all areas are maintained to high standards
    • Manage household inventory and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
    • Maintain accurate records related to household operations
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise, train, and manage household staff
    • Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient coverage
    • Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline and professionalism
  • Procurement & Budgeting
    • Oversee procurement of household goods and services
    • Liaise with administrative offices for bill payments and budgeting
    • Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
  • Maintenance & Contractors
    • Organize and oversee maintenance and repair work
    • Liaise with and supervise external contractors and service providers
    • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to required standards
  • Guest & Event Management
    • Welcome and attend to guests and visitors
    • Organize and manage dinner parties and household events as required
    • Ensure a high level of hospitality at all times
  • Relocation Support
    • Coordinate all aspects of house moves, including logistics and setup
  • General Duties
    • Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by the employer
Requirements:
    • Proven experience in a similar household or estate management role
    • Strong leadership and staff management skills
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Strong communication skills and ability to understand client preferences
    • High level of discretion and professionalism
    • Good memory and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of household operations, maintenance, and service standards
