Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and discreet Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private residence. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of the household, manage staff, coordinate maintenance, and provide exceptional service to the employer and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Household Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the household and ensure all areas are maintained to high standards
- Manage household inventory and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
- Maintain accurate records related to household operations
- Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and manage household staff
- Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient coverage
- Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline and professionalism
- Procurement & Budgeting
- Oversee procurement of household goods and services
- Liaise with administrative offices for bill payments and budgeting
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
- Maintenance & Contractors
- Organize and oversee maintenance and repair work
- Liaise with and supervise external contractors and service providers
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to required standards
- Guest & Event Management
- Welcome and attend to guests and visitors
- Organize and manage dinner parties and household events as required
- Ensure a high level of hospitality at all times
- Relocation Support
- Coordinate all aspects of house moves, including logistics and setup
- General Duties
- Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by the employer
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar household or estate management role
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand client preferences
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Good memory and attention to detail
- Knowledge of household operations, maintenance, and service standards
