Job Summary:

A Secondary Chemistry Teacher is required to teach AS and A-Level Chemistry within a UK curriculum school environment. The teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high quality lessons while supporting the school’s academic and pastoral objectives. The role reports to the Vice Principal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching & Learning
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the UK curriculum (AS/A Level).
    • Use effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and academic abilities.
    • Ensure continuous assessment of students, including homework, class activities, and formal examinations.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Curriculum & Classroom Management
    • Develop and update schemes of work based on curriculum requirements.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student development.
    • Maintain discipline in alignment with school policies and pastoral expectations.
  • Professional Responsibilities
    • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development.
    • Collaborate with academic leadership to meet school targets and standards.
    • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress.
    • Support school events, activities, and extra‑curricular initiatives as required.
Requirements:
    • Master’s Degree in Chemistry (mandatory).
    • A teaching qualification is an advantage (PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, etc.).
    • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a UAE UK‑curriculum school (mandatory).
    • Strong classroom management and lesson‑planning skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet student needs.
    • Competent in basic Microsoft Office tools.
