Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and qualified Secondary Psychology Teacher to deliver AS and A Level Psychology—and Sociology—within the Secondary School. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a passion for inspiring students while adhering to the UK curriculum framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for AS/A Level Psychology and Sociology.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Develop schemes of work in line with UK curriculum standards.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress.
- Collaborate with the Principal and Vice Principal on academic planning and school initiatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Use basic Microsoft Office tools for lesson preparation and administrative tasks.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the overall ethos and development of the school.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Psychology (mandatory).
- A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a UAE-based UK curriculum school (mandatory).
- Strong command of English.
- Strong subject expertise in Psychology (AS/A Level) and basic competency in Sociology.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel).
- Professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork.
