Job Summary:
One of our clients in Oman is looking for Design Manager, will be responsible for overseeing all design-related activities for real estate development projects. This includes managing the appointed architect, ensuring design compliance with project objectives, coordinating design reviews and approvals, supporting tender processes, and facilitating permit approvals.

- o Manage and supervise the appointed architect and design consultants.
- o Review and approve design submissions to ensure alignment with project vision, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- o Coordinate design changes and ensure timely resolution of design-related issues.
- · Design Review & Approval
- o Conduct detailed design reviews at concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
- o Ensure compliance with local building codes, sustainability standards, and developer guidelines.
- · Tender & Procurement Support
- o Prepare and review tender documentation related to design packages.
- o Provide technical input during contractor selection and bidding processes.
- · Permit & Authority Liaison
- o Support the submission and approval of permits with relevant authorities.
- o Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- · Stakeholder Management
- o Act as the primary point of contact for design-related matters between internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
- o Facilitate design workshops and coordination meetings.
- · Design control during the construction phase
- o Review and coordinate contractor design submissions (shop drawings, material submittals, method statements) to ensure compliance with the approved design.
Requirements:
- · Minimum 8–10 years of experience in design management within real estate development or construction.· Strong knowledge of local building regulations and permitting processes.
