Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure construction projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules using planning tools.
- Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress updates for construction projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and propose recovery plans when required.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to align schedules with execution plans.
- Analyze delays and prepare time impact analyses and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for management and stakeholders.
- Track manpower, materials, and equipment in line with project schedules.
- Ensure planning activities comply with contractual requirements and project milestones.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and project controls.
- Knowledge of contract planning requirements and delay analysis.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
