Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer to work on Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear systems at a reputed switchgear manufacturing plant in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering design, technical documentation, coordination with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and technical submittals for LV switchgear panels.
- Design control and power wiring schematics for Power Panels and MCCs.
- Develop software-oriented drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) in coordination with OEMs and the Estimation team.
- Prepare compliance statements against project specifications in coordination with the Estimation/Sales team.
- Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, including as-built drawings.
- Generate BOMs for ordering and procurement input.
- Coordinate with the Production team to support manufacturing requirements.
- Support Estimation teams, particularly for Oil & Gas projects, with datasheet compliance and GA drawing submissions.
- Liaise with OEMs, internal departments, and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in the design of LV switchgear panels (Power Panels & MCCs).
- Strong knowledge of control and power wiring design and applications.
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in E-Plan design software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Good knowledge of international and local electrical standards (IEC, etc.).
