Job Summary:
The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management and smooth operation of the company’s labor accommodation facilities. The role involves maintaining hygiene, safety, and discipline within the camp while ensuring the comfort and welfare of all occupants. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of overseeing daily camp administration, coordinating support services, and ensuring compliance with UAE labor and health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall camp operations, including accommodation allocation, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, waste management, and security.
- Supervise cleanliness and hygiene across all areas — living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, dining halls, and surroundings — ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with catering and housekeeping teams to ensure timely, hygienic meal preparation and proper maintenance of dining facilities.
- Liaise with maintenance teams or contractors to address plumbing, electrical, or HVAC issues promptly.
- Maintain updated records of camp occupants (arrivals, departures, room allocations, transfers) for company and government reporting.
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal in accordance with municipal and environmental regulations.
- Implement and oversee camp safety and emergency procedures, including fire drills and first-aid readiness.
- Handle workers’ grievances professionally and fairly while maintaining discipline and a positive environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper upkeep and report maintenance requirements.
- Enforce camp rules and company policies consistently.
- Coordinate with HR and Admin departments regarding worker onboarding, offboarding, and site transfers.
- Monitor and control inventory of cleaning materials, linens, utensils, and maintenance tools to minimize wastage.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on occupancy, maintenance, and incidents.
- Foster a positive, respectful living environment that promotes teamwork and worker welfare.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer literacy preferred.
Experience:- 2–3 years of proven experience as a Camp Boss, Camp Supervisor, or similar role in the construction or industrial sector within the UAE or GCC region.
Knowledge:- Strong understanding of UAE labor accommodation standards, Civil Defense requirements, and hygiene & safety regulations.
Skills:- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities to manage large groups of workers.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance, cleaning, and catering coordination.
