Job Summary:
Our client is a real estate development, management, and investment company based in Dubai the ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- VAT calculations, VAT return filing, and VAT refund follow-up.
- Preparing supporting documents for VAT refunds and reconciling VAT-related GLs.
- AML review coordination and sanctions checks for compliance.
- Coordinating with banks for fund transfers, renewals, deposits, and updating KYCs.
- Handling cheque deposits, preparing deposit summaries, and verifying cheques as per contracts.
- Preparing monthly collection, income, expense, and occupancy reports.
- Managing bounced cheque reports, legal status updates, and uncollected cheque reports.
- Liaising with internal/external auditors, tax auditors, and banks.
- Reviewing bank reconciliations, verifying payment memos, and ensuring timely closings.
- Processing payroll and salary disbursement.
- Preparing MIS reports and comparing income/expense reports.
- Acting as custodian for cheques and verifying tenant deposits.
- Performing other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and UAE Corporate Tax rules.
- Experience in AML compliance and sanctions checks.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation, fund transfers, and cheque handling.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis.
- Familiarity with payroll processing systems (e.g., Al Ansari portal).
- Excellent coordination skills with auditors and legal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet closing deadlines.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
