Job Summary:
Head of Placement, Corporate & Alumni Relations is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving student placement outcomes, fostering corporate partnerships, and building a vibrant alumni network. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between academia and industry, enhancing the employability of students, and contributing to the overall growth and reputation of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive placement strategy aligned with industry trends and student goals.
- Expand the employer network by onboarding new recruiters across diverse sectors.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of campus placements and internships—including outreach, scheduling, and execution.
- Supervise student preparation initiatives such as aptitude tests, mock interviews, resume workshops, and soft skills training.
- Track and report placement metrics, offer statistics, and employer feedback to senior leadership and accrediting agencies.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with corporates, startups, industry associations, and government bodies.
- Initiate and coordinate corporate engagement programs—guest lectures, industry panels, conclaves, and webinars.
- Explore strategic collaborations like MoUs, live projects, faculty exchange, research tie-ups, and CSR-driven engagements.
- Represent the institution at corporate forums and networking events to promote visibility and partnerships.
- Develop strategies to strengthen alumni engagement and foster a sense of community.
- Organize alumni-centric events such as reunions, speaker sessions, mentorship programs, and networking meets.
- Maintain a dynamic alumni database and communication channels (emailers, social media, newsletters).
- Leverage alumni for placements, internships, institutional support, and brand advocacy.
- Lead and mentor a team of officers and coordinators in placement and alumni domains.
- Assign roles, set KPIs, and review performance to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for placement drives, alumni events, and corporate outreach.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and ROI on strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Marketing, Education Management, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in placements, corporate relations, or institutional partnerships
- Prior experience in higher education, B-schools, or professional training institutes is highly desirable
- Proven track record of managing large-scale placement activities and corporate collaborations
