CREDIT CONTROLLER   (34909)

Job Purpose: To oversee credit control and collection activities, ensuring timely recovery of receivables, mitigating credit risk, and maintaining strong working capital in line with company objectives. The Credit Controller will play a critical role in managing trade credit within the fast-paced tyre distribution market. Languages Spoken: Multilingual (Asian languages) – English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with a linguistically diverse customer base is essential. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices. • Set and review customer credit limits in line with company policy and industry standards. • Liaise with the sales team and Credit Manager regarding customer credit status and risk assessments. • Evaluate new customer credit applications, including market reference checks and formal credit evaluations. • Resolve customer invoice disputes by coordinating with internal teams such as sales and logistics. • Issue monthly statements and payment reminders to customers. • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and communications. • Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via telephone, email, and formal letters. • Prepare regular reports including debtor aging, cash flow forecasts, and collection performance updates. • Recommend accounts to be placed on credit hold or escalated to legal proceedings, as needed. • Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities. Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role, preferably in the tyre, automotive, or related industries. • Strong knowledge of credit risk evaluation, trade finance, and debt collection processes. • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems such as Odoo and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for handling customer interactions.
