Our client, a semi Government entity requires Compensation and policy Officer for their Abu Dhabi division. Successful UAE National candidate will champion and monitor the organization’s salary structure and benefits provision against current market practices in the in order to maintain a balance between cost effectiveness and attracting and retaining staff. Potential incumbents will lead formal compensation surveys, interpret the survey data and monitor the market salary lines, changes, & trends with respect to cost of living, inflation, housing etc. Liaise with salary survey agencies for group salary surveys as and when required. Candidates with degree in Human Resource discipline and additional certifications in compensation and benefits/other HR practices are welcome.



Major Scope

  • Assist Head of Compensation, Policy & Reporting in designing and rolling out specific compensation & benefits policies in conjunction with the Policies and Procedures Specialists.
  • Participate in the salary reviews ensuring conformance to company policy.
  • Conduct job evaluation of various positions across the organization, using appropriate primary and secondary sources.
  • Assist the Head of Compensation, Policy & Reporting in the administration of merit based increase programs, alternative reward strategies and review changes in wages to ensure conformance to policy as per regional and global standards.
  • Assist the manpower planning team in yearly budget preparation providing reward information to allow for accurate assessment of the organization’s payroll costs.
  • Counsel HR Business Partners on compensation and benefits practices and trends (Acts as an internal consultant).
  • Provide Manpower Planning and Systems Reporting Officers with data or assistance to support statistical analysis of compensation data as directed by Head of Compensation, Policy & Reporting.
  • Model financial impact of compensation plans and programs.
  • Assist on the design and delivery of training for new compensation programs.
  • Develop a continuous competitive advantage for the business through the provision of optimal compensation services.
  • Support Head of Comp, Policy & Reporting, tendering process of employee welfare insurances by setting the table of benefits, scope of coverage, terms and conditions according to HRM recommendations, liaise with HR&A Processing team to raise PR, identify the potential bidders list, technical evaluations and recommendation of qualified bidder. Communicate the changes to HR team
  • Support Head of Comp, Policy & Reporting. Review, verify and approve welfare insurance premium, liaise with HR&A Processing team to release contract payments by create system service entry sheet.
  • In cooperation with HRBP, conduct learning sessions to expand the beneficiaries’ knowledge, provide information in response to inquiries on products and health insurance services.
  • Analyze statistical data such as loss ratio and construct probability tables to forecast future loss ratio, ascertain premium rates and cash reserve requirements to ensure payment of future premiums.
  • Liaise with Insurance companies to support employees’ critical medical processes such as (processing overseas medical claims complications, critical illness and disability/ death claims)
  • Process according to company contracts and Abu Dhabi Health Authority regulations.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned by the Head of Compensation, Policy & Reporting.   


Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management OR HR Management OR related fields
  • Membership of regional or international compensation or benefits association desired
  • Strong working knowledge in statistical analysis/methods required.
