COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING MANAGER   (28564)

An international multi-media company is looking for an Excellent candidates who have worked at a Mid- senior level on category leading client work. The right candidate is able to collaborate with a diverse team of strategic and media planners, as well as working with functional experts (Client Leadership, Effectiveness, Digital and Trading) both regionally and locally through a communications planning process, using organized planning methodology.  Successful Communications Planners are able to cross-pollinate within an organization – building upon each department’s strengths and discreet differences to add value and depth to a client’s entire communications plan. They must be able to integrate their practice with creative agency account/brand planning to gain the most value for the agency and its respective clients.  

Roles and Responsibilities:    

1.       Build energy and excitement within the Ad Sales team for more strategic and innovative work

2.       Create innovative and value-based media/communications strategies for existing and prospective clients

3.       Champion and impart Total Communications Planning methodology – Change Planning

a.       Understand the practice and increase its relevance and effectiveness in the marketplace

b.      Invigorate our internal teams and clients alike in the value of leveraging such a process for ongoing brand-building success

4.       Link qualitative and quantitative consumer data and research with consumer segmentation and media strategy approaches

5.       Translate marketing goals and brand positioning into media communication strategies

6.       Have a thorough understanding of how Agencies’ planning tools link to Change Planning and Resolve, and champion their use on all relevant client business

7.       Provide thought leadership in the following areas: consumer behavior, creative media engagements, emerging media (because digital continues to evolve), accountability and measurement

8.       Actively participate in new business development and create media sales pitches throughout the region.
