Our client is one of the leading diversified German headquartered companies is looking for a young and energetic Demand Planner Buyer to be based in Dubai. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyse and improve current process within planning and procurement department with an aim. 
• to improving customer experience 
• Maintain a constant relationship with the sales, marketing, finance, customer support to 
• understand the demand forecasting drivers 
• Challenge forecasts from the sales teams and the usual runs (historical data, seasonality, 
• market trends, special offers, budgets) with relevant data analysis 
• Improve forecast accuracy (statistical models, software) 
• Coordinate special customer projects with HQ to ensure material availability as required 
• Manage stock turnover ratio, hit rates, service levels, inventory risks etc. 
• Play an active role in maintaining master data as required for effective working of the department 
• Drive the forecast discussions and S& OP meetings with sales and product marketing 
• Run queries to analyze and convert purchase proposals to orders and monitor replenishment 
• orders placed within subsidiaries for delivery dates and on time deliveries 
• Manage pre clarification lists, delivery improvements, escalations, overdue orders with head 
• quarters 
• Analyze modes of shipment with a view to optimize freight costs and maintain service levels 
• Focus on cost savings thru innovative solutions thus improving efficiency and effectiveness of 
• the department 
• Play an active role within the department; provide support during physical inventory count 

Professional Requirements: 

• Holder of university degree in any discipline  
• Additional certification preferred (APICS, CIPS, other)  
• At least 5 years of appropriate experience in a similar role with organizations with complex supply chain operations in the region  
• Knowledge of MS Office product range as well as an integrated standard software solution, for example BaaN, SAP or similar
