The General Manager | BU Director is directly shall be responsible for the success of the activities related to the Marketing, Sales, Production, Supply Chain, HR and the development of additional revenue activities like new products development, new customers, and new markets. As a corporate officer position, the General Manager | BU Director reports directly to the Chairman The role must combine technical knowledge of the business model and organization with strong marketing and business development skills grown in the FMCG market.
For the development of new businesses in the FMCG market.
For developing the Business Plan, Financial Budgets and Targets for the Business Unit and firming up the departmental plans in respect of Sales, Marketing, Factory and Supply Chain.
For the development of new and younger sales force in charge of the company's revenue growth.
To drive efficiencies in Operations by benchmarking costs with other companies within the Group and outside.
For new product development and introductions.
For ensuring periodic review of performance within the Business against pre-agreed targets / KPIs / Indicators
For overall health of the Business with respect to Market Share, Market expansion, Brand Building, Sales Value & Volume, Numerical & Weighted distribution and Profits.
To Lead, Guide, Coach immediate management team of Sales, Marketing, Factory, Supply Chain and HR to deliver the business results.
To collaborate with HR to develop Structure, Systems and Staffing as per company policy and guidelines in order to build organization capability for sustainable delivery of operating results.
To be instrumental in communicating with employees at all levels through various channels and build a result-oriented and motivated organization.
To be directly accountable for development of employees reporting to him and next level.
To be responsible for implementing Vision and Values of the organization in his division.
Commensurate Technical or functional qualification preferably with Management Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from a reputed Business School.
15-20 Years relevant experience out of which at least 5 years should be in a position with direct responsibility for P&L and key commercial business deliverables including Leadership experience in reputable companies in the relevant Industry/Sector.

Demonstrated experience in developing AND executing successful commercialization strategies.
