We are seeking to hire an Operations Director for our client; a construction company focusing on real estate development projects in Riyadh. You will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations and ensuring its financial success. This includes managing high-rise tower construction projects, driving business development efforts, and maintaining operational excellence. You will implement the company’s strategic initiatives, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction operations to ensure the high-quality delivery of projects.
- Drive financial success through effective budgeting, cost management, and profitability.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the project portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Streamline operational processes and adopt innovative construction practices.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to monitor financial health, manage risk, and enhance profitability.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key players in the construction and real estate industries.
- Manage project portfolios to align with the company’s strategic goals and client expectations.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums to promote its brand and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, ideally with high-rise towers and large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with contract law, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex contracts.
- PMP Certification or Chartered Professional Engineering certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
Skills:
- Proven ability to produce detailed reports and presentations for executive committees, boards, or senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills with a focus on operational and financial excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking and stakeholder engagement, in English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in financial management, business development, and project portfolio oversight.
- Familiarity with modern construction technologies and industry best practices.
