Our client, a manufacturing company is looking for a Production Planner to be based in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
Job Objective:
Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet customer demand and company goals. This role involves close collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics teams to optimize production processes and resource utilization.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinating production workflow for the plant
- Schedule daily, weekly, or monthly production activities
- Determining equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Coordination between internal stakeholders for on time production
- Develop effective scheduling process to achieve production objectives.
- Modify Production Schedules based on the machine down time, material availability
- Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Manager to develop and execute production plan.
- Develop weekly production status reports
- Support in continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Develop and manage Master Schedule and all sub schedules in accordance with customer demands and resource availability/capacity.
- Manage all daily, weekly, monthly KPI reporting to all production and senior management.
- Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide longer-term forecasts, trends and production flow reports for long-term resource planning to production and senior management manners
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in engineering (industrial, mechanical….)
- Preferred: Master or MBA
- Preferred additional courses/qualifications: Lean production, work analysis, six sigma, logistic management
Required Experience
- 5 years’ (manufacturing industries similar position, preferred Automotive)
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office (xls high proficiency)
- ERP utilization (Business Central preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
