GENERAL MANAGER   (29928)

Our client, a legacy family business is looking to expand into Plastics & Chemicals industry. Currently, the company is in the Concept Research stage of starting a distribution and trading business based out of Dubai, UAE. The company will start with a focus on marketing Masterbatch, Additives and Compounds from a single Indian supplier. Following this, the company will look to expand the product range and vertically integrate in the supply chain.

Client needs a General Manager with a history of success in the industry. Initially, the General Manager will be involved in market research and creating the feasibility study for the project. Once the project is approved, the General Manager will be integral in setting up the manufacturing facility, and will eventually be responsible for the division's Operations and P&L.

 

The ideal candidate should have:

10 years of successful managerial experience in the industry

Ability to identify and cater to market demand

Strong existing relationships with customers in different sales channels

Good communication skills, effective problem-solving skills and must be able to provide leadership to the division.

Preferably have Chemical Engineering Degree

Experience in manufacturing/processing of Masterbatch, Additives and Compounds

Duties & Responsibilities:

Understanding the Vision and Mission of the Company, the concept and take it forward accordingly

To help create the way forward in terms of formulating a detailed Business plan, Human Resource Planning, Sales Planning, and expansion within the Country 

Formulating Annual Operating Plans

Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for different departments within the company

Assist in recruitment process by Identifying, Interviewing, and Approving candidates for various positions in different departments

Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures

Daily coordination with all different departments including but not limited to Sales, Supply Chain, Admin, HR, PRO

Focus on Project Completion that fulfills all the criteria mentioned in the project scope

Creating and running a training program for the initial recruits, then creating a training team

Attracting Principles and creating strong partnerships with International Suppliers

Periodic Sales Analysis and Action Plans

Managing Key Accounts 

Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency

Analyzing and taking action on Key Performances Indices for different aspects of the business

Coordinating with Accounts for receivables, deliverables, cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet, petty cash
