A global business services provider is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager.


Candidate profile:

  • UAE based, with the ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the GCC
  • Existing contacts either direct or through intermediaries with focus in KSA
  • Strong understanding of the local GCC and wider Middle East culture, customs and practice
  • Robust track record in client acquisition and business development, particularly in an international environment
  • Developed intermediary contact database for business introductions
  • A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, polite, patient, diplomatic, and respectful
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
  • Ability to manage a small team of business development managers


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Enhancing company’s culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as the preferred service provider in the GCC
  • Representing company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
  • Using lead generation and leverage of existing clients to develop company’s position in the GCC, with a focus on the designated market segment to facilitate expansion based on our client’s needs
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive forward the development of such opportunities across company’s business lines
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of new opportunities and track activities in Salesforce
  • Maintain and update regularly market data on competitors, market share, fee structures and other relevant information to enhance the commercial activity
  • Participate in a high level of client interaction across the GCC to support the building and maintaining of commercial relationships upholding company’s objectives for development and growth, and to ensure a good understanding of demands, expectations, and anticipated market changes as early as possible
  • Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with company’s existing intermediaries and source new feeders
  • Track relevant projects and take appropriate actions to win business on a global basis by providing well qualified prospects
  • Generating a high standard of service delivery and achieving successful outcomes for our clients to sustainably strengthen the revenue base
  • Capturing, sharing knowledge and maintaining effective communication
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assisting the Commercial Head where required for local, regional and global initiatives
  • Able to act as the Commercial Head cover when required during holidays or other reasons to be out the office

  • Able to combine a strategic role while maintaining a very hands-on approaching paying close attention to details
  • Strong sense of professional integrity
  • A strong team player with good communication and people management skills in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Understanding of AML and core compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage complex sales opportunities multi product and jurisdiction
  • Basic legal skills (understanding and analyzing legal documents)

  • 5+ years’ experience of sales within the GCC in:
  • Corporate Service Provider
  • Trust Company
  • Private Banking / Wealth Management
  • Family Office / Management Consultancy
  • Legal / Accountancy
