Our client, a multinational company is looking for a Sales Manager, Middle East (OCTG) to be based in Dubai.
Job Purpose: To plan and carry out direct sales and sourcing activities, so as to maintain and develop profit derived from OCTG related activity across an agreed territory under the jurisdiction of the UAE based Middle East sales office, maintaining an existing portfolio of clients and developing new accounts.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, responding to and following up sales enquiries using appropriate methods. Analyse clients’ requirements, inquire and collect quotations from appropriate manufacturers and subcontractors, and negotiate optimum commercial and technical conditions. Prepare competitive offers to clients that clearly define commercial and technical contractual conditions, within company scope. Plan and manage personal business portfolio according to an agreed market development strategy. Manage pricing and margins according to agreed aims. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Ensure a thorough contract review is made prior to handover to the Sales Support/Operations Team for each order ensuring effective communication and understanding of the customers needs and expectations. Ensure sales support enters the order correctly. Prepare existing/new trade and trust credit applications for customers and new vendor applications. Follow up with customers on payment status. Prepare yearly forecasts, budgeting, and business plans for responsible territories and accounts. Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information. Record, analyse, and administer according to systems and requirements. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills. Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
Requirement: Degree graduate mechanical engineering OCTG/upstream oil and gas drilling experience – min 3 years. Arabic speaking
