Our client, a reputed cogeneration and desalination plant in Dammam/KSA seeks to hire a planning engineer for EPC projects. Potential incumbents must fulfil the below key result's areas to be eligible for the role.

• Qualification : Any engineering discipline preferably industrial engineering or equivalent. Project management certification is a plus preference. 
• Experience : Minimum 10 years in Power and Cogeneration plant EPC projects. 

Expected duties: 

• Review and monitor EPC contractor Plans, implementation all L1-L6 schedule from the engineering stage to the commissioning stage of the Power and Cogeneration project  by reviewing the contract, design, resource plan, previous schedule records, project risk analyses and simulation etc. 
• Review and confirm EPC contractor Organize WBS and the loading of required resources into project control schedules in order to ensure adequate resources properly provided with the progress measuring system and control the discrepancies between plan S-curves and actual S-curves to fulfill the target achievement (Schedule Variance: BCWP – BCWS)
• Manage day-to-day coordination with all project stakeholders of planning & scheduling engineers, coordinate interfaces with technical discipline leads involved.
• Record and follow up on project NCRs , SORs and punch Lists and keep proper register and report to stakeholders on the status of these issues. 
• Help in analysis of claims specially related to project delays and time plans. Including estimations of delays linked with such claims and extensions of time analysis.
• Coordinate with EPC contractor on mitigation schedules and plans to minimize cost and time impact on the project.
• Prepare schedule related documentation such as a progress report, meeting’s agenda, mitigation schedule with risk identification and solution, schedule delay analysis report etc. for internal and external stakeholders
• Review, approve and supervise sub-contractor schedule and reports submitted by the sub-contractor with action plans (Resource allocation plan, Catch-up or Mitigation Plan)
• Participate in all internal interface and coordination meetings to adjust the priority of interface works with advice and guide for the purpose of meeting the key milestone on time
