The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the catering company’s facilities, including kitchens, storage areas, and event spaces. This role ensures that all facilities are in optimal working condition to support the company’s operations. The Facility Manager works closely with the operations team to ensure that health and safety standards are met and that the catering services run smoothly.
Experience : 10-15 yr of Experience in Facility Management with F& B Industry preferably from Catering background
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of all physical facilities, including kitchens, storage areas, and event spaces.
• Ensure all equipment, appliances, and facilities are well-maintained and functioning properly.
• Coordinate regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
• Liaise with external contractors for repairs, servicing, and facility improvements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, OSHA, local regulations).
• Implement and monitor safety protocols for kitchen staff and event operations.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, maintenance schedules, and cleaning routines.
• Manage fire safety procedures and ensure emergency exits and equipment are accessible.
• Supervise a team of facility staff, including kitchen maintenance workers, cleaners, and event setup personnel.
• Provide training to staff on facility safety, sanitation procedures, and maintenance routines.
• Develop staff schedules to ensure facilities are properly staffed at all times.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, kitchen tools, and facility maintenance materials.
• Order supplies and ensure that necessary items are stocked and ready for operations.
• Coordinate the disposal of waste and ensure proper recycling and waste management practices.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure all contracts and agreements related to facilities, maintenance, and supplies are adhered to.
• Schedule and coordinate third-party services, such as cleaning, pest control, or equipment maintenance.
• Plan and execute improvements or upgrades to facilities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage renovation projects or facility upgrades while minimizing disruptions to operations.
• Regularly assess the condition of the facilities and recommend improvements to management.
• Promote sustainable practices within the facility, such as energy conservation and waste reduction.
• Implement eco-friendly initiatives, such as reducing food waste, minimizing water usage, and recycling.
• Maintain accurate records of all facility-related activities, maintenance schedules, and incidents.
• Prepare and present regular reports on facility performance, maintenance issues, and safety compliance.
• Identify trends or recurring problems and propose corrective actions.
