Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ballet Teacher to join our team in Dubai. This full-time position involves instructing students in ballet techniques, choreography, and performance skills, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ballet, exceptional teaching skills, and a commitment to nurturing students’ artistic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Curriculum Development:
- Teach ballet classes to students of various ages(typically from 5yrs) and skill levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that focus on technique, artistry, and performance.
- Create and teach choreography for recitals, performances, and exams.
- Student Development:
- Provide individual feedback and guidance to students to enhance their technique and performance.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential and cultivate a love for ballet.
- Classroom Management:
- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper techniques.
- Address any behavioral or performance issues professionally and constructively.
- Performance Preparation:
- Assist in organizing and preparing student performances, including recitals and competitions.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate rehearsals and stage setups.
- Administrative Duties:
- Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student development and performance.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the success of the dance program.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest ballet techniques, trends, and teaching methods.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification in ballet teaching (e.g., RAD, Vaganova) is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a ballet teacher with a strong background in ballet technique.
- Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in international examination system is a plus (ABRSM, TRINITY, RSL, RAD, NATD)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Proficiency in classroom management and conflict resolution.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with potential evening and weekend hours based on class schedules and performances.
