Our client, a reputed sports academy is looking for a Sports Director. Must have a background and experience in elite sport, sport development, pathways, etc. Should have at least 10 years of which at least 5 working in a senior/managerial role.

Reporting to: Managing Director

Job Purpose:

Finding and vetting suitable acquisition targets and integration them into our organisation, and develop the processes and coaching standards within the organisation to create a talent flow with a long term of having multiple international representatives.

Key Objectives:

·         Identify and vet potential acquisition targets and integrate the acquired academies

·    Design and implement processes that will support the development of athletes from grassroots to international  representation, including liaising with schools on Centre of Excellence programmes

·         Develop the quality of coaching and set the expectations across the academy

·         Build relationships to support the academy goals and engage with all relevant stakeholders in a professional manner

Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours:

Desired Qualifications:

·         Degree in Sports Management, Business Management or a related field

·         Coaching certificates to a high level

Desired Experience:

·         Proven experience in sports management, with good leadership experience

·         Strong knowledge of various sports and athlete development, ideally having coached to an elite level

·         Local knowledge of UAE and regional sports businesses.
