REGULATORY AFFAIRS MANAGER - HOME APPLIANCES   (30582)

NADIA’s client, a multinational home appliances manufacturer is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Regulatory Affairs Manager to join their team.

 

Objective of the position:

To ensure reaching turnover and operational targets of ME organization by fulfilling approbation & product compliance requirements for the countries of the region. Following up on markets requirements for electrical appliances and trade barriers in Middle East. Keep up to date on the requirements of countries part of the subsidiary. To control, optimize and ensure proper budget management of approbations.

 

Tasks:

  • Coordinate and update for registration on products specifications and compliance to technical, safety and performance requirements.
  • External collaboration with different national standardization organizations. Focusing on the main 3 authorities in the region: GSO-GCC, SASO-KSA & ESMA-UAE. To manage a regulatory framework in the GCC.
  • Adequate co-ordination with factories, product managers on products specifications and compliance to technical, safety and performance requirements. Ensure an all-time alignment with technical & market requirements for the complete range of products within full MDA & SDA categories.
  • Discuss and to establish a network with OEM factories and owned factories on matters regarding safety, approbation, and performance.
  • Follow up on markets requirements for electrical appliances and trade barriers in Middle East. Keep up to date on the requirements of all countries part of the subsidiary, with special focus on the GCC (7 countries).
  • Support factories, order processing, and product management in approving products for each market and ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements. Keep track and control of certifications and renewal needs of a portfolio. To manage technical discussions on product electric compliance.
  • Co-ordinate with different approved test laboratories for testing & approbation as well as product registrations. Align global testing agreements with HQ, supporting the decision making of test labs. Ensure the proper project management of testing renewals, including samples, ordering, delivery, testing, results compliance, and new registrations.
  • Source test reports and certificates from factories according to range and maintenance of technical documents. Close contact with factory contact points, to keep up to date a database of safety, EMC reports and EER reports.
  • Provide required technical documents to other regional parties whenever needed, getting in contact with global and regional HQ.
  • Consolidate technical documentation before expiry date, managing a portfolio of products, applied to main 8 types of certifications.
  • Ensure sales objectives by fulfilling sales T/O targets – arrange an up-to-date RISK analysis and lead the SC / Sales as solution provider.
  • Connect with product managers, supporting and guiding into the needs & requirements in the region and impact on the product portfolio. Ensuring the needs for specific VIB variant creations as per EER labeling requirements.

Qualifications required:

  • University degree in business administration, engineering, public policy or equivalent.
  • 5 years relevant experience in similar position in Middle East
  • Experience working with local government and customs authorities.
  • Proven record of cross-category approbation process management in different countries
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Working knowledge with MS Office
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Team player, Highly motivated self-starter
  • Steering of projects and organized
  • Good understanding of complex technical details
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines
