Our client, an oil & gas company based in Fujairah is looking for a Head of BD and Strategy who will support the strategic planning process and ensure the development of departmental business/operational plans that support the company business growth.
Key Job Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Ensure strategic planning outcomes are highly effective and well aligned with the directions and objectives of the company
- Develop and implement a strategy for energy transition within the company, with a focus on promoting clean energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices
- Work closely with the CEO to identify and pursue viable business opportunities
- Identify opportunities as well as drive changes to improve implementation and evaluation of strategic and business development processes
- Provide leadership to develop and implement strategies to ensure a robust mechanism to monitor and track progress against the plans for each department
- Work closely with each department to ensure strategy, mission, and vision are translated into departmental business plans
- Participate in formulating strategy and articulating a business model to achieve its defined goals including three- and five-year business plans
- Work with department heads to support the development of business plans in line with strategy
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities for business diversification
- Drive the investment team to source high-quality investment projects
- Lead the due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and closure of all investment deals and ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all deals
- Continuously analyze operations and data to identify areas where the company can improve and make recommendations for operational excellence initiatives that can drive business results
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to identify and implement process improvements and by recognizing and rewarding those who contribute to operational excellence
- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team in line with good people management practices
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience, with significant experience in the oil and gas industry
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent
