Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead the transformation and management of inventory operations within a project-based environment. This role is critical in driving ERP (SAP) implementation, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring seamless material flow across marine and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve existing inventory systems, workflows, and structures
- Develop SOPs, reporting templates, and process controls aligned with SAP standards
- Build and structure the inventory team, defining roles and responsibilities
- Conduct readiness audits and gap analysis across inventory, warehouse, and procurement functions
- Collaborate with IT teams and consultants for SAP implementation and testing
- Lead master data cleansing and migration (materials, stock locations, suppliers, UOMs)
- Act as key contact for SAP inventory configuration, training, and troubleshooting
- Ensure accurate mapping of inventory processes into SAP and support go-live activities
- Oversee daily warehouse and inventory operations, including stock control and order fulfilment
- Ensure accurate stock management, cycle counting, and reconciliation
- Manage timely supply of materials to project sites in line with project schedules
- Train, supervise, and develop inventory and warehouse teams
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with procurement, projects, and finance
- Deliver SAP and process training to ensure system adoption
- Maintain accurate inventory records, dashboards, and KPI reports
- Monitor stock turnover, material usage, and replenishment planning
- Ensure compliance with safety, audit, and storage standards
- Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure material availability
- Provide regular updates on inventory status, SAP progress, and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- SAP certification preferred
- Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or change management is an advantage
- 7–10 years of experience in inventory/warehouse management (marine, construction, manufacturing, or high-end fit-out industries preferred)
- Proven experience leading SAP ERP implementation (planning, migration, training, go-live)
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes in project-based environments
- Experience in SOP development and process redesign prior to ERP integration
