OPERATIONS OFFICER -EMIRATI   (30703)

A well-established international bank requires an Emirati for the position of an Operations Officer. Successful incumbent needs to ensure that operational and front office activities run smoothly and carried out appropriately. Also, need to be multi skilled to perform other branch functions to facilitate functioning of the department and customer service delivery whenever required.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

·         Oversee and direct daily banking administrative processes and procedures 

·         Handling customers, opening accounts, closing accounts, transfers and all other banking operation requests. 

·         Report to and assist the Operations Manager in daily tasks and duties 

·         Ensure bank policies align with and advance business objectives 

·         Serve as one point telephonic contact to customers on banking solutions. 

·         Advise bank customers on financial investments. 

·         Handle customers professionally. 

·         Learn about banking products to respond to related customer queries. 

·         Monitor staff duties like ledger entries, payment and financial authentication. 

·         Supervise bank processes and work using the bank related systems, 

·         Investigate discrepancies in bank operations.  

·         Communicate to Front Office and update department management of branch operations and status. 

·         Prepare management reports. 

·         Follow and adhere to the Banks’ Operations Manual and ensure compliance to all operational guidelines, processes and procedures. 

·         Maintain effective documentation is in place, in the form of user guides and implement operational improvements to reduce operational costs, tighten controls, improve service quality and customer service. 

·         Support other staff within the Operations Department to ensure smooth workflow 

·         Follow and adhere to the UAE banking rules and regulations 

 

 

Qualifications: 

·         Minimum of a degree (Banking, Finance or related area) 

·         Post graduate degree (MBA desirable) 

·         Minimum of five (5) years in a similar position in the banking sector  

 

 

Required Skills: 

·         Good knowledge of banking and branch operation practices 

·         Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in English and Arabic  

·         Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables  

·         Teamwork Skills.  

·         Interpersonal Skills. 

·         Communications Skills.  

·         Ability to handle large number of customer and work under pressure. 

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools.
