Our client is looking for a Trade Compliance Manager
Location: Dubai- JAFZA
Candidates with Quality, legal, shipping, exporting background may be cognizant of compliance requirements. In general, the job profile covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities but not limited to the following:
Oversee the regulation process for products shipping or receiving that may require governmental approval. (This component of the job will have advisory inputs from our US office)
Knowledge of Export/Import Regulations
Awareness of Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and Commerce Control List ("CCL") under the US Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security ("BIS").
Awareness of International Traffic in Arms Regulation ("ITAR") and U.S. Munitions List ("USML") under the Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls ("DDTC").
Awareness of Restricted and denied parties in transactions and mitigating risk
Establish and Ensure management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies relating to international trade and that company policies and procedures are being followed.
Provide insight to Management on Compliance and act as the Liaison for Compliance.
Maintain policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal or improper conduct or exports.
Implement day-to-day operation of the Corporate Compliance Program and Assist in the coordination of the compliance activities of other departments to gather/record data in order to identify trends.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Analyze risks and plug those gaps.
Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Management informed of the implementation and progress of compliance efforts.
Assist in augmenting an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees.
Conduct periodic audits and develop systems to measure compliance.
Assist in the investigation of incidents to review and resolve compliance and ethics cases.
Communicate with OEM’s, Suppliers and other agencies on export related issues..
Assist US office in license applications to Government agencies (as required).
